Apple of my eye

I started just wanted do draw an abstract apple; Just a fun little piece, which if you had seen on my instagram it's first layers, had abstract palm shapes to the sides.
Then I started seeing Adam and Eve themes and the snake was strangling the apple and when I decided to post a photo to instagram as a way to wrap up my session, I noticed the little mark in the top middle.

It's hilarious thinking back, because it was late and night and I have terrible art space lighting, and all I could see in the camera was this eye looking at me from every angle I stood. I was actually a little bit freaked out.
Also, hidden in the snakes head you can see an eye.
I would love to delve further into the possible meaning, especially the snake strangling the apple, which could be anthropomorphic/symbolical, being it has an eye but for now, I need to get back into painting again.
